Research experience

  • PhD in Computational Chemistry           
    Lund University, Division of Computational Chemistry, Lund, Sweden (Sep 2023 - present): Theoretical studies of ionic fluids, i.e., electrolyte solutions, and ionic liquids, at various concentrations. Experimental studies with small-angle X-ray scattering of model systems to probe the fundamental electrostatic interactions at elevated electrolyte concentrations.

    Uppsala University, Hawke's group, Department of Analytical chemsitry - Uppsala, Sweden (Aug 2022 - Oct 2022):  
    Internship title: Computational analysis of complex fragmentation patterns arising from LC-MS/MS analysis of aquatic dissolved organic matter. Experimental data acquisition on LC-HRMS instruments of environmental dissolved organic matter samples. Application of advanced machine learning methods to investigate the inherently extremely complicated sample matrix.

  • Web application developer  
    University of Ljubljana, Faculty of chemistry and chemical technology, HSLAB - Ljubljana, Slovenia  (Mar 2020 - Aug 2022):  
    Development of a user friendly Web-based application for the prediction of paper degradation in collections of cultural heritage. Using previously published dose-response functions I developed the front- and backend of a Collections demography application. The research internship was supported by the Horizon 2020 APACHE project.

    University of Ljubljana, Faculty of chemistry and chemical technology, HSLAB - Ljubljana, Slovenia   (Aug 2020 - Sep 2020):
    Individual research at the HSLAB of the Faculty of chemistry and chemical technology, UL. I constructed a database of near infra-red (NIR) and ATR-FTIR spectra of different polymer samples. Using machine learning approaches, I created a classification algorithm for the classification of polymer type based solely upon the sample NIR spectre.

    Institute Jožef Stefan - Ljubljana, Slovenia  (Aug 2019 - Sep 2019):  
    Research internship in the field of physical and organic chemistry at the Institute department K3. The internship included the optimisation of a hybrid organic-inorganic sol-gel type synthesis for protective anticorrosive gels for steel samples and corrosion degradation studies using impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry, which were conducted to test the gels anticorrosive properties.
